Depending on the variant being played, a set number of cards—usually seven or ten—are dealt to each player. One ram slots on motherboardcard is dealt face-up to begin the discard pile, and the other cards form a draw pile. In order to improve their hand & monitor the movements of their opponents, players alternately draw from either pile & discard one card.
